Web of People for Obama
Invites the community to A Benefit
Thursday, May 7, 2009 • 6-8 p.m.
The Web of People for Obama group has the mission to work to insure President Barak Obama stays on course to change the direction of our country. Washington is a place where things often don’t get done because of politics. The habit of putting politics first stops government from getting things done .
•How long how have we been waiting for Health Care?
•During this economic crisis and as a practice: How long have we been waiting to have an economy that helps people and respects workers?
•Why do continue having dilapidated housing and overpriced homes?
The Web’s key project is to go to Washington, DC 3 times. Each time bringing documents that represent issues that are important to NM and the nation. We want the President and the US Congress to see our faces, to know that this time we are taking responsibility to insure systemic change and to create a better life for people. We need your support. Help us to make our first trip to meet with President Obama and the US Congress members scheduled for the end of May 2009.
Join us at this benefit, let’s share food and get to know each other. Then the Web members will present information on the issues and open space for discussion. We will also invite you to share your ideas about what concerns you. We are interested in ideas on what can kind of change is necessary for NM and our country. Please contact: Martha Dominguez, Volunteer Coordinator Web of People for Obama at 505-275-0597 or at marthacd@earthlink.net Join us together we can make a difference!
